Before i moved to Brooklyn I used to surf avidly, lately its been something i just dream about (I have gone maybe 10 times in the last year). I still consider myself a surfer at heart and live in the pages of surf magazines, but I have just been absent from the water. Before New York, if something aggravated me or was stressing me out, i knew the ocean was there for me, here its not that easy, you have to really plan ahead and much of the time transportation to the beach falls through.
Today i came across these pictures of myself and thought id post them merely to show that i did in fact used to do this wonderful activity, and do hope to again someday, once I move or get some alternative to subway travel. My saving grace here has been the wonderful shop the MOLLUSK, one mile from my studio, I can at least go there and talk surf and surround myself with beautiful boards.
Ok back to art business after this I promise.
