dry reef, wet feet..and “she urgens”

Today Mori woke me up at the crack of dawn to surf a new little reef break,
when we pulled up I could see the wave breaking on what appeared to be dry reef.
After surfing what was a fun little waist high session, we decided to go down the beach to another break. While walking I asked Mori if there was any sea urchins on the reef because i felt like i touched one when i fell. He said “no, we have no sea urchins”.
After surfing the second spot we were walking up the sand dunes and ironically i saw hundreds of dead sea urchins on the sand, i said “Mori, there is a lot of sea urchins on the reef here”
He answered “what is a She Urgen?”
I pointed at the ground at one of the spiney creatures.
He then said “oh yeah those are delicious but they are very expensive”
